Bangkit Rolls



Pastry recipe for Bangkit Rolls.


Ingredients for Bangkit Rolls:
  • 1 lb. (500g) flour (sifted)
  • 8 oz. (250g.) butter
  • 2 oz. (60g.) castor sugar
  • 2 egg yolks (lightly beaten)
Filling Ingredients:
  • 4 oz. (125g.) peanuts (dry-fried, skinned & finely pounded)
  • 4 oz. (125g.) castor sugar
Method:
  1. Beat butter and sugar together till creamy and light.
  2. Fold in flour, stirring it in well.
  3. Knead lightly into a smooth dough. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and roll out less than 1/8 in. (3mm.) thick.
  4. Cut into 4 x 6 in. (10 x 15cm.) pieces.
  5. Brush some egg yolk on each piece of dough and sprinkle generously with filing ingredients. Roll up.
  6. Place on a lightly greased baking trays. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 15-20 mins. or till firm and golden. See Customer Reviews and Compare Bakeware sets.
  7. Remove from oven, cool and serve.
