Marbled Ring Cake



Marbled ring cake. Recipe made with flour, butter, castor sugar, cocoa powder and vanilla essence.

Marble Cake
Ingredients for Marbled Ring Cake:
  • 8 oz. (250g.) flour (sifted)
  • 5 oz. (155g.) butter
  • 4 oz. (125g.) castor sugar
  • 6 eggs (separate yolks & whites)
  • 1 1/2 Tbs. cocoa powder
  • a few drops vanilla essence
Method:
  1. Beat butter and sugar together till creamy and light.
  2. Lightly beat egg yolks and add to creamed mixture. Beat well.
  3. Sift in flour and fold in.
  4. Beat egg whites till stiff. Stir into flour mixture.
  5. Separate 1/3 of the mixture. Sift cocoa powder onto it. Mix well. Add vanilla essence to the plain portion.
  6. Lightly grease a ring mold. Coat lightly with flour and shake off excess.
  7. Spoon plain and cocoa mixture alternately into mould.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 40 mins. See Customer Reviews and Compare Bakeware sets.
  9. Cool. Remove from mould and slice to serve.
