Sunshine Cake



A recipe for making Sunshine Cake.


Ingredients for Sunshine Cake.
  • 6 eggs (yolks & whites separated)
  • 1/3 cup water + 10 oz. (315g.) castor sugar - (boiled together for syrup) 
  • 1 tsp. vanilla essence
  • 8 oz. (250g.) flour + ½ tsp. cream of tartar - (sifted together)
Method:
  1. Whisk egg whites till stiff.
  2. Pour in syrup over it in a fine stream. Beat till the mixture is cool.
  3. Add vanilla essence and beat well.
  4. Fold in egg yolks. Follow with flour, a tablespoonful at a time.
  5. Pour mixture into a greased baking tin or ring.
  6. Bake 45 mins. in a preheated oven at 350°F. See Customer Reviews and Compare Bakeware sets.
  7. Remove and cool on a wire rack before serving.
