Raisin Biscuits



These baked Raisin Biscuits have a sweet, buttery, soft and chewy texture filled with chopped raisins.

Ingredients for Raisin Biscuits:
  • 4 oz. (125g.) margarine/butter
  • 4 oz. (125g.) castor sugar
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 cup raisins (chopped)
  • 8 oz. (250g.) self-raising flour + pinch of salt - (sifted)
Method:
  1. Cream margarine and sugar till light and fluffy.
  2. Add in egg and beat well.
  3. Mix raisins with flour and fold into margarine mixture.
  4. Turn dough onto a floured board and roll to about 1/8 in. (0.3 cm.) thickness.
  5. Cut into desired sizes and shapes and place on a greased baking sheet.
  6. Put in a preheated moderate oven to bake 10-15 mins. or till lightly brown.
