Orange Cheesecake

Ingredients for Orange Cheesecake:
  • 5 sliced cheese
  • 200 ml. fresh milk
  • 2 1/2 oz. (70g.) butter or margarine
  • 2 1/2 oz. (70g.) flour (sifted)
  • 2 1/2 oz. (70g.) sugar
  • 4 medium size eggs (separate yolks & whites)
  • few drops of vanilla essence
  • 1 tsp. orange rind
  • drops of orange food colouring
  • 1/2 tsp. emulco orange
  1. Mix fresh milk and sliced cheese. Stir continuously over low heat till cheese melts and dissolves.
  2. Add butter or margarine, 1/2 tsp. emulco orange and stir well till blended. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Whisk egg whites till meringue.
  4. In another bowl, beat egg yolks and sugar till thick and creamy. Pour yolk mixture and orange rind into milk and cheese mixture. 
  5. Add in  flour a little at a time till smooth. Beat well. Next, add meringue, drops of vanilla essence mix to the mixture. Mix well.
  6. Pour mixture into a greesed tin lined with greased proof paper.  
  7. Bake in preheated oven in moderate heat at 325°F for 20 mins.  See Customer Reviews and Compare Bakeware sets.
  8. Lower down to 275°F and bake for another 40 mins. Use a 20cm. cake mould and add some water in the pan, bain marie method, to get a good cake texture.
  9. Remove from oven. Cool, cut into slices and serve.
