Thick Batter Using A Mixture of Flour - Basic Recipe

The coating of batter with a thick batter of mixture of flour is crispy when hot and is not hard when cold.

Batter Recipe Using A Mixture of Flour:
  1. 1 dsp dry rice flour (tepung beras)
  2. 1 dsp cornflour (tepung jagung)
  3. 1 dsp wheat flour (tepung gandum)
  4. a pinch of salt
  5. 4-6 tbsp water
  6. 1/8 tsp slake lime (kapur)
  • Sift rice flour and salt into a bowl.
  • Make a well in the centre.
  • Pour in 4 tbsp water and mix to a smooth batter. 
  • Add more water if required.
  • Leave batter to stand for 10-15 minutes.
  • Add in slake lime just before use.
